Shipment: Parcel
Shipper: Who requests a Shipment delivery. Shipper can be the Sender or the Receiver of a Shipment
ComfyPal: Traveler, who helps Shipper with delivering the Shipment
Offer: Accepting a Shipment delivery by a ComfyPal

For Shipper

When you want to send a parcel, start with filling out the “Request a Shipment” form. Try to fill all the fields especially parcel’s photo because when you provide adequate information, you will have a higher chance of getting delivery offers. As soon as you submit your request, you can check your Shipment status in “My Shipment Requests” section of your Account.

1- Request a Shipment

In 4 comfy steps, say what, where, from whom and, to whom you want to send your parcel. In the first step, write your parcel info. You as a Shipper can be the Sender or Receiver of the parcel. So, if you want to send a parcel to someone else, then you are the Sender and, if you want to receive a parcel from someone else, then you are the Receiver. In the second step, write your shipping info. You can specify the amount that you are willing to pay to a ComfyPal for delivering your parcel. Also, in the “Required by” field, you select the date that your parcel must arrive at the destination. Steps 3 & 4; In step 1, if you picked to be the Sender, then your info will be filled in Sender's info (step 3) by the system and if you picked to be the Receiver then your info will be filled in Receiver's info (step 4) by the system. Uploading personal photos helps the ComfyPal to find Sender and Receiver easier, and increases trust and security as well.

2- Wait for travelers’ delivery Offers

After you submit your Shipment Request, you need to wait for travelers to send you delivery Offers. We call these travelers, ComfyPals. You can find your received Offers in the “My Shipment Requests” section of your Account. ComfyPals are not ComfyPost’s employees. They are travelers who want to help you and make money besides traveling. You can become a ComfyPal next time you want to travel! Why Not?!

3- Choose your ComfyPal

You might get more than one delivery Offer from different ComfyPals. For each offer, you are able to see the ComfyPal's profile info including contact info and rating. You can contact them to research them for yourself and once, you made your decision, you accept an offer. You can only choose one offer from the many Offers you received and accept it. When you accept a ComfyPal’s offer, the selected ComfyPal would also become able to see your profile info including contact info and rating. At this point, both Shipper and ComfyPal can contact each other by Phone or Email. Shipment Tracking is now available for the Shipper and the ComfyPal in “My Shipment Requests” and “What I Deliver” sections of their Accounts respectively.

4- Reach your ComfyPal

After contacting your ComfyPal and you both agreed on everything including the delivery Fee, the Sender meets the ComfyPal and gives the Shipment to him/her. The ComfyPal has to check the Shipment thoroughly, so do not fasten your Shipment package and make sure that it is easy to inspect. Be aware that ComfyPal has the right to withdraw his/her offer if s/he does not feel right about you, the Sender, or the Shipment at any time. When the ComfyPal is taking the Shipment from the Sender, ComfyPal must submit the “Pickup” form by clicking the “Picked Up” button in the presence of the Sender in “What I Deliver” section of his/her Account. This button is only available for ComfyPal. If for any reason the ComfyPal were not able to submit the form while picking up the Shipment and the Sender trusted him/her and gave the Shipment to him/her, then the ComfyPal should submit the form as soon as s/he can. A Delivery Code is then sent to the Shipper.

5- Receive your Shipment & pay to your ComfyPal

You can track your shipment by going to “My Account > My Shipment Requests” and click on the tracking icon in front of your Shipment request. You can see when your ComfyPal departs from the origin city and when s/he arrives at the destination city. After ComfyPal arrives, s/he will contact the Receiver to arrange the delivery. The Receiver must pay the delivery fee when s/he receives the Shipment. The Receiver needs to give the Delivery code to the ComfyPal at this time of delivery at the destination and receives the shipment. Either the Shipper or the ComfyPal must submit the Delivery form by clicking the “Delivery Form” button at the end of the tracking info. The ComfyPal must insert the Delivery code in the delivery form if s/he submits the form. At the end, the system asks for optional Rating of their experience with each other.

For ComfyPal

By delivering parcels using ComfyPost, you can make money while you are traveling! You can pick the shipments that need to be delivered to the same destination that you travel to and earn money! A ComfyPal is a traveler who delivers shipments through ComfyPost. So, if you like to be a ComfyPal, here you go!

1- Sending Delivery Offer to Shippers

As a ComfyPal, you have two options to start with, either you can send a mass delivery offer or you can select shipments one by one. If time-saving is your concern you can go with a mass delivery offer and if you would like to view each shipment details before sending an offer then go with the second option.
  • Option 1: Sending a mass delivery offer

    By submitting the “Deliver Shipments” form, you announce your travel plan to all the Shippers who fit in your travel plan.
  • Option 2: Select one Shipment at a time

    Go to the “Shipments List” page and filter the specific details of Shipments that fit your travel plan. When you choose a Shipment to deliver, you will be asked to provide your travel information in the “Accepting a Request” form.
By submitting each of the above forms, Shipper(s) will receive a delivery Offer from you. Shipper(s) might receive delivery Offers from other travelers as well. If the Shipper chooses you, then you will notice it in the “What I Deliver” section of your Account as the status of your offer changes from “Waiting for Approval” to “Assigned”. You will also receive notification emails.

2- After confirmation by the Shipper, communicate and take the Shipment

Now, you can see the Shipper’s contact info. The Shipper can be the Sender or the Receiver of the Shipment. So, if he is the Sender, you will meet him in the time of pickup and if he is the Receiver, then you will meet him at the delivery time. Nevertheless, the Shipper has the responsibility of arranging the delivery with you. Before pickup, ensure that you have talked to the Shipper and you both agreed on everything regarding the delivery including the delivery fee. You must check the Shipment completely to make sure there is nothing in the package that is prohibited or unlawful. You have the right to withdraw your delivery offer if you do not feel right about the Shipper, the Sender or the Shipment. When you take the Shipment from the Sender, you must submit the “Pickup” form by selecting the “Picked Up” button in the presence of the Sender in “What I Deliver” section of your Account. This button is only available for you. To resume the tracking process, the “Pickup” form needs to be submitted by you. If for any reason you were not able to submit the form while picking up the Shipment, you should submit it as soon as you can.

3- Deliver the Shipment and receive your fee

After you arrive at the destination, you will contact the Receiver to arrange the delivery. When you deliver the parcel, either the Shipper or you must submit the Delivery form by clicking the “Delivery Form” button at the end of the tracking info. If you submit the Delivery form in “What I Deliver” section of your Account, you must insert in the Delivery form the Delivery code that you get from the receiver. The Receiver must pay the delivery fee to you when s/he receives the Shipment. At the end, the system asks for optional Rating of your experience with each other.
